🚜 Corn Market Update The U.S. corn barge market continues to soften slightly, likely aided by the reopening of two key locks near St. Louis that had been closed for repairs. While barge freight rates remain historically elevated—April is quoted at 74/77, May at 70/74—these levels are easing. Fieldwork is progressing, with activity reported as far north as Bloomington, IL. Farmers did some selling during last week's rally, though overall U.S. farmer sales remain limited.
